I Paid for a Subscription, But It's Not Active. What Do I Do?

First of all, no need for panic! Your money is safe. If your bank or app store shows that the payment went through but your Pratilipi Premium or Superfan subscription isn't showing up yet, it is usually just a temporary delay in the system.

Here is why this happens and exactly what you should do:

Why Is There a Delay?

When you make a payment, the money goes from your bank (or Google Play/Apple) to our payment partners (like Razorpay or UPI). Sometimes, your bank deducts the money instantly but takes a few extra minutes to send the final "Success" confirmation back to Pratilipi's servers.

Until our system receives that final confirmation, it won't unlock your subscription.

What You Should Do:

  1. Wait Just 10-15 Minutes 

In 99% of cases, this is just a slight network delay. Give it about 10 to 15 minutes. Once the delayed confirmation arrives from your bank, our system will automatically activate your subscription.

  1. Restart the App 

Sometimes your app just needs a quick refresh to see the updated status!

  • Completely close the Pratilipi app (swipe it away from your recent apps).
  • Open it again.
  • Check your profile or try to read a locked chapter to see if your Premium/Superfan status is now active.
  1. Still Not Active? Contact Support!

If it has been more than 30 minutes and your subscription is still locked, we are here to help!

  • Go to the Help / Support section in the app.
  • Send us a message and please include a screenshot of your payment receipt (showing the Transaction ID or Order ID from Google Play, Apple, or your bank).
  • Our team will track down the payment and manually activate your subscription right away!


In short: A short delay is normal due to bank networks. Wait a few minutes, restart your app, and if you're still stuck, our support team will get it sorted out for you!
