Why Can't I Delete or Deactivate My Account?

Are you trying to hit the "Delete" or "Deactivate" button, but the app isn't letting you? Don't worry, this isn't a glitch!

To protect your purchases and ensure everything runs smoothly, our system has a few safety checks in place. If you are seeing an error, it's likely because of one of the following reasons:

  1. You Have Active Subscriptions

If you currently have an active Premium Subscription (for Stories, Audio, or Comics) or if you are subscribed as a Superfan to an author, you won't be able to delete your account.

Fix: Please wait for your current subscription to expire, or cancel it through your App Store / Play Store settings first!

  1. You Still Have Coins

Do you have unspent Coins in your wallet? We don’t want you to lose what you paid for!

Fix: You will need to spend your remaining coin balance before the system allows you to close your account.

  1. You Are an Earning Author

If you are an author with a Golden Badge (meaning you are eligible to earn money from your stories), we lock your account deletion to protect your earnings and your readers.

Fix: Please reach out to our support team directly so we can assist you with closing your account.

  1. No Email Attached

For security reasons, we require an email address linked to your account to confirm the deletion.

Fix: Go to your Profile Settings, add and verify your email address, and then try again.
