Why Can't I Draft or Delete My Series Parts?
Are you trying to move a chapter back to your drafts or delete it completely, but the app isn't letting you? Don't worry, your app isn't broken!
Our system has a few important rules to protect both our authors and our readers. Here are the most common reasons why you might be blocked from drafting or deleting your work:
- Is it a Premium (Blockbuster) Series?
This is the most common reason! If your series is part of our Premium program, our system locks the published chapters.
- Why? Because readers might have already spent their hard-earned Coins or used their Premium Subscription to unlock and read those chapters. We lock them to make sure readers don't lose access to stories they’ve paid for.
- What to do: If you made a major mistake on a Premium chapter that urgently needs fixing, please contact our Support Team directly. We can help you update or hide the chapter from our end!
- Is the Series Marked as "Completed"?
If you have officially marked your Premium series as Completed, the entire story is sealed. Completed Premium series are often enrolled in special promotions or platform features, so they cannot be edited, drafted, or deleted by the author.
- Did You Sign an Exclusive Contract?
If your series was acquired by Pratilipi (meaning it is a "Platform-Owned" series with an exclusive contract), you will not be able to delete or draft the chapters yourself.
- Are You Trying to Delete a "Published" Part?
Remember, for regular (free) stories, you cannot delete a chapter while it is "Published."
- What to do: You must first move the chapter back to your Drafts. Once it is safely sitting in your Drafts folder, the Delete button will become available!
