Want to get a Premium Subscription but don't have a way to pay right now? No problem! Pratilipi has a super easy feature called "Ask a Friend to Pay" that lets someone else cover the cost for you!
Here is exactly how it works:
- Choose Your Plan
- Open the Pratilipi app and go to the Premium Subscription page.
- Choose the subscription plan you want (like the 1-Month, 6-Month, or 12-Month plan).
- Note: This feature only works for one-time payments, not auto-renewing monthly subscriptions
- Ask a Friend!
- When you get to the payment screen, look for the option that says "Ask a Friend to Pay" or "Share Payment Link".
- Tap it, and the app will generate a secure, custom payment link just for you.
- A menu will pop up giving you two options:
- Copy Link: Copy the link and paste it into any app (like Instagram, SMS, or Telegram).
- Share via WhatsApp: Tap this to send a pre-written message and a cool picture straight to your friend or family member on WhatsApp!
- Your Friend Pays
When your friend clicks the link you sent them, they will be taken to a secure payment page.
They can use their own UPI, Google Pay, or Credit Card to complete the purchase.
- You Get Premium!
That’s it! As soon as your friend finishes the payment on their phone, our system will automatically upgrade your account to Premium instantly. You don't have to do anything else!
Important Rule: You can only use the "Ask a Friend" feature if you are buying a brand new subscription. If you already have an active Premium Subscription and are just trying to renew it, the option won't show up!
