I Accidentally Published My Story! What Should I Do?
Oops! Don't panic. If you accidentally hit "Publish" instead of "Save as Draft," you can usually fix it right away before too many people see it.
Here is exactly what you need to do to hide it:
- If you published a regular Story or a regular Series Part:
You can easily "unpublish" your story by moving it back to your drafts!
Step 1: Go to your Author Dashboard (or "My Writing" section) where your published stories are listed.
Step 2: Find the story or chapter you just published and tap on it to open the editing menu.
Step 3: Look for the option to Unpublish or Revert to Draft. Tap it!
Step 4: Once it is back in your Drafts folder, no one else can read it. You can now take your time to edit it properly, or if you want to get rid of it completely, you can now safely hit the Delete button. (Note: You can only delete a story while it is in the Draft stage!)
- If you published a Premium (Blockbuster) Series Part:
Because Premium stories involve locked chapters and reader coins, our system is extra careful with them.
- What you need to know: Once a Premium/Blockbuster chapter is published, you cannot unpublish or delete it yourself. Our system locks these actions to protect readers who might have already paid to unlock it.
- What you need to do: If you made a major mistake on a Premium chapter, please contact our Support Team immediately with the link to your story. We will help you fix or hide the chapter from our end as quickly as possible!
Quick Tip: Always double-check your screen when you finish writing! The "Save" and "Publish" buttons are usually right next to each other. Happy writing!
