Why Is My Payment Failing When Trying to Subscribe or Buy Coins?

Having trouble completing your payment on Pratilipi? Don’t worry — this usually happens due to temporary banking, network, or payment provider issues and can often be fixed quickly.

Here are a few things you can try.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

A weak or unstable internet connection can interrupt the payment process.

Please try the following:

  • Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Refresh the app and try again.

2. Check Your Bank Account or UPI App

Before retrying the payment, please make sure:

  • Your bank account has sufficient balance.
  • UPI services are active.
  • Your UPI PIN is working correctly.
  • Your bank servers are not facing downtime.

Sometimes banks temporarily delay or block transactions because of technical maintenance.

3. Refresh the App and Retry

A quick refresh often helps.

Please try these steps:

  1. Close and reopen the Pratilipi app.
  2. Turn Airplane Mode ON and OFF once.
  3. Retry the payment after a few minutes.

4. Update Your App

Using an older version of the app can sometimes create payment issues.

Please update Pratilipi to the latest version from the Play Store or App Store before trying again.

5. Try Another Payment Option

If one payment method is failing, try another available option such as:

  • UPI
  • Debit/Credit Card
  • Net Banking
  • Google Play billing

Note: Only the payment methods visible on your screen are currently available for your account.

6. Money Got Deducted but Subscription or Coins Were Not Received

This can happen sometimes if the payment gets stuck between the bank and payment gateway.

In most cases:

  • The amount gets refunded automatically within 5–7 working days.
  • Many refunds are processed within a few hours.
