How does the Pratilipi free trial work? When will I be charged?

Trying out Pratilipi Premium for the first time? Here’s everything you need to know about the free trial and how billing works.

What Is the Pratilipi Free Trial?

The free trial allows eligible first-time Premium users to enjoy Premium benefits for a limited period before the regular subscription renewal starts.

During the free trial, you can:

  • Read Premium stories across the platform.
  • Enjoy an ad-free reading experience.
  • Access Premium features included in your plan.

When Will the Actual Subscription Payment Happen?

Once your free trial period ends, your subscription will automatically renew and the subscription amount will be charged through AutoPay unless cancelled manually before renewal.

You can check your renewal date anytime from:

Profile → Active Subscriptions

How Do I Stop Automatic Renewal?

You can cancel AutoPay anytime before the renewal date.

Cancelling AutoPay:

  • Stops future automatic payments.
  • Does not immediately end your current trial or subscription access.

Your Premium benefits will continue until the current validity period ends.

Why Am I Seeing the Full Amount During Payment?

Sometimes the AutoPay approval screen may show the full subscription amount. This is only an authorization message for future renewals.

The actual amount being charged immediately will always be shown separately under:

  • First Payment
  • Payable Now

Please check these sections carefully before confirming the payment.

Important Things to Know

  • Free trial offers are usually available only for eligible first-time users.
  • Available plans and payment methods may vary based on your account, offer, or payment type.
  • Coupons and offers may not work with all payment methods.
  • Switching payment methods at the last step may remove the offer or free trial.
