Pratilipi is hosting a ‘10 Part Series Challenge’ competition which is open to all authors for participation. In this competition, you have to publish a serialized story having at least 10 episodes. The contest will run for the next 2 months, and you can win exciting prizes if you can make it to our winner's list!

This is a freestyle event so there is no specific theme; you can write on any favourite topic or any favourite genre. However, we are providing 5 plot ideas below. If you want, you can build your story from any of these plots / or you can simply write stories on any topic as per your choice -

• You are the head of the crime branch of your city. Boys of the age bracket 10-13 years are disappearing. After their disappearance, there are found dead in different part of the city.  There’s so much havoc in the town, that children have stooped going out. Are you on track to solving your case? 

• You go to your college library at midnight and find the basketball Team captain, Vicky lying dead with blood oozing from his head. You panic and rush to your room. The next day the principal announces that Vicly passed away in a car crash. Will you solve the murder mystery on your own? 

• You have decided to opt for Arrange Marriage. You go through an entire process of finding your perfect match. Until, one day when you said yes. Will falling in love be a bumpy ride for you?

• You shifted to a new home. Since the first time you slept, you are seeing weird dreams and heard voices and seeing flashes. Everything leads you to the tree in the backyard, where the swing keeps on moving. One afternoon, you decide to get the tree cut and everything changed… 

• You are one the best detective in RAW. You married the head of the drug cartel of India to get them caught and give the government insight. With time, you fell in love with the bad boy. Will you be able to stop the next big shipment to Russia or will love prevail?

Note:We do not accept submissions via email. You need to publish your series directly in your profile in the Pratilipi app.

Competition rules-

1. You must write and publish a new series in the Pratilipi App.

2. Your series must have at least 10 episodes, but you can publish as many episodes as you want. The more episodes you write, the more your chances of winning increase.

3. Each episode must contain at least 600 words. No upper limit. 

4. It is mandatory to add the category '10 part series challenge' while publishing the story.

5. This competition is open to all authors. That means any author can participate whether he has received the Golden badge or not. 

6. Your series must be marked as ‘completed’ by the last day of the competition. Unfinished stories will be disqualified. .

7. You can also publish more than one series for this contest if you want. The more you write, the more your winning chances will increase.

Timeline

• Competition Start Date: 17th January 2023

• Last date to publish in the competition: is 31 March 2023

• Result date: 10 May 2023

Prizes-

• The top 7 winning authors will receive a cash prize of Rs.1000 each.

• The top 20 authors will receive a special Framed certificate from Pratilipi at their home address via courier.

• The following top 30 authors will receive a special Digital certificate in their email from Pratipli.

Our panel of expert judges will scrutinize each story published for the competition and will select the best entries based on the following parameters:

• The uniqueness of the plot

• Character development

• Use of setting and dialogue in the story

• Overall subjective quality

• Correct grammar and punctuation 

A special note for Golden Badge writers-

This contest is open to all authors, so it is not mandatory to have your series under the Superfan subscription. But if you've already earned our precious Golden Badge, we would always recommend keeping any new series you write under subscription. This will help you build your career as an author faster and earn royalties from your writing.
