1. What is a superfan subscription program?

Readers can subscribe to their favourite eligible writer with INR 25 on a monthly recurring basis to show their support and get some extra benefits in return. INR 25 is the subscription fee to subscribe an individual writer.

2. Why will readers subscribe to me or what are the benefits readers will get if they subscribe to me?

• To support you as they are your fans

• To get 5 days early access of your upcoming new parts of the series you are writing

• To get the badge of superfan while engaging on the reviews and comments on your published contents

• To get visibility on your profile undr the list of superfans

• To participate in the superfan exclusive chat rooms

3. How will I come to know if I am an eligible writer to have superfan subscription?

• You have to be on the latest version of the app which is 5.4.0 onwards.

• You will see a golden badge on your profile picture which will identify you as an eligible writer.

• You will see a congratulatory note and a detailed FAQ regarding the same in the write section of your app.

4. What is an eligibility criteria for writers to be part of the subscription feature?

To be an eligible writer for a subscription feature, you have to match two conditions. 

1. You must have at least 200 followers. 

2. You should have published at-least 5 contents in the last 30 days.

5. Once I am an eligible writer for the subscription program and then if I fail to publish five contents in the next 30 days, then do I go out of the subscription feature?

No, once you have become an eligible writer for the subscription program then you are a permanent eligible writer for the subscription.

6. Is the subscription program available on Pratilipi’s website?

Readers will be able to subscribe to you as an eligible writer on the website but as a writer you might not have all the functionality on the website for the features of the subscription program. We would recommend you to use Application to be part of this program and avail the benefits.

7. How do I get new subscribers?

I can create value for my subscribers via one or more of the followings ~

1. I can write more series on a timely basis to increase and engage my followers. 

2. I can engage my followers in the post section on a regular basis to convert them into superfans.

8. How do I engage my existing subscribers?

I can create value for my existing superfans/subscribers via one or more of the followings ~

1. I can write a series more consistently on a timely basis to increase the value of their subscription.

2. I can answer their concerns in the post section. Or if I am taking a break then I can inform them in advance so that they don’t feel cheated. 

9. What is an early access feature in the subscription program?

A few of your selected ongoing series will be part of the early access feature under the subscription program. Under early access feature, your superfan subscribers will get the new part of the series on the time of publishing. Rest of your non subscribed followers and other readers will get to read these published parts after five days. They have to wait for the five days to read or they can subscribe to you and read it instantly. 

10. How will I know which of my series are under early access for the subscription programme?

To be part of the early access feature under the subscription program, your series has to match below conditions. 

1.If you have published last part of the series in last 30 days

2. You have not marked your series completed.

11. I don’t want money from my writing. Can I opt my series out of the early access feature under the subscription program?

Yes, you can go to the edit section of the series and opt your series out of the early access feature. Though you should understand that your subscribers might not like it as the value of their subscription fees is lowering. They might eventually end up unsubscribing you.

12. I stopped writing one of my series half-way a few months back. Can I add this series into the early accessfeature under the subscription program and continue writing?

Yes, you can. Provided you have not marked the state of the series finished. 

13. What happens if I keep changing my series in and out of the early access feature under the subscription program?

Your subscribers might not like it as the value of their subscription keeps fluctuating. They might feel cheated as the value they are getting against the subscription fees is not reliable. They might eventually end up unsubscribing you.

14. In the early access feature, how do my non subscribed followers come to know whether the new part has arrived or not?

 Non-subscribed followers will get the notification regarding the same after 5 days.

15. What is a superfan badge and where will it display?

Your superfan subscribers will get the superfan badge and it will be displayed on their DP when they comment/review on your stories or posts.

16. What is superfan only chat rooms feature under the subscription program? Where can I see it?

All the eligible writers will have their own exclusive chat-rooms where only superfan subscribers can enter and chit-chat within the group. Chat rooms feature is currently under development and will be available to you shortly. 

17. As an eligible writer for the subscription program I want to get featured on the homepage of pratilipi App under ‘popular writers to subscribe’ - list. What should I do?

This list is curated based on the frequency of publishing and popularity of the writer under each genre.To get featured in the list, you can increase your series parts publishing frequency in that genre.

18. As an eligible writer what will be my income out of a subscription? 

Readers will pay 25 INR as a subscription fee. Out of which 30% share is of Google as a third party platform fees, 28% share is of Pratilipi and 42% share will be of writers. 

19. Will more features come under the subscription program in future?

Yes, there are a bunch of new features we are bringing which will be part of the subscription programme in future.

20. As an eligible writer for the subscription program, can I opt out of the subscription program? 

You can not opt out of the subscription program on your own. You can request us with a valid reason. Once you are removed from the programme, you will not be able to join back.

21. How will I come to know if someone has subscribed to me and about my ongoing subscription?

You can check your update section. Here you will receive the notification regarding the same. You can also check the list of superfans on your profile to confirm the same.
