Tapan does real estate construction as his day job and writes short stories and poems, often, at night. He was selected for Star TV Writers program, Bangalore Literature Festival (Bookmark event for new writers) and Jaipur Literature Festival (First Book event). He is one of the winners of the current ‘Times Of India, Write India – 2’. His stories are published in Kitaab, Café Dissensus, Different Truths, The Spark and other literary magazines. He lives in Bengaluru with his extended family.

    Wonderful to say the least. It is the ultimate reflection of truth. When the author took out the God's idol from the canister he kindled a hope but the twist at the end proved how religion is no where related to inhumanity.

    This is a great short story which reminds me of "Khol Do" by Manto

    Excellent writing. It fits exactly into the classical definition of a story with all the threads intertwined rightly and aptly.
