Author, Poet, Editor (Efflorescence), Reviewer, resource person, poetry event organizer and independent researcher - Hema Ravi has verses published in Metverse Muse, Efflorescence, Amaravati Poetic Prism, Symphony of Peace, Women, Wit and Wisdom among others. Her Haiku, tanka and verses have been featured in online and print journals; her write ups have won prizes in the Femina, Khaleej Times and International Indian (Dubai). She has published in the Hindu’s Voice your Views and Open Page and in the New Indian Express' Mindspace. Recently, she launched "Joie De Vivre" (collection of poems) She is the author of "The Cuckoo Sings Again" (a collection of short stories), Everyday English, Write Right Handwriting Series, co-author of Sing Along Indian Rhymes and Everyday Hindi. As an IELTS and Communicative English trainer, she empowers youngsters to their fullest potential. In 2019, she scripted and presented a programme for the Kalpakkam Community Radio(http://s23.myradiostream.com:16886/.) - a series of English lessons with emphasis on grammar and conversation titled "Everday English with Hema' One of her short stories "Beyond Stereotypes" won her the first prize in the Pratilipi Competition. 2020. She is among the 'Distinguished Writers 2021,' having secured the ninth place in the 9th Bharat Award for Literature International Short Story Contest. As Secretary, Chennai Poets' Circle and Connecting Across Borders, she coordinates poetry reading events.
