Too harsh depiction of extreme exploitation of depressed, helpless and poor section of indian society and total indifferent attitude towards them by fellow well to do Indian brothers. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 The author is successful in making the reader to shed TEARS reading painful conditions of poor India in Bengal Famine. May All Mighty save us from such recurrence, perhaps our RULER are no better than English Rulers.

this is so beautifully written. the famine of Bengal is often sidelined in our history books to give way to the momentous events leading up to independence. it's a heart rending story. brilliant!
